• Question
  • Can a will be contested by family members if there is a Domestic Partner situation?

Asked by someone from Las Cruces, NM on 3/17/2017

On the death certificate and on the will it lists me as the Domestic Partner. I have been with my partner since 2008. In the state of NM am I considered a wife? His brother and son want to get the house and all cash in banks because it is in my partner's name and they say they are next of kin.
