• Question
  • to marry or not?

Asked by someone from Naples, FL on 12/5/2016

Female retiring at end of month at age 72, I have been collecting SS security since age 67, income of 2100 month before insurance or part B, also have small pension 367/mo and will be required to take 401K once I am no longer workining, which will be as of 12/31/16. My fiancé (76) has his own social security of 2100 month, we would like to marry but will we be penalized and would we be better off to just live together?
